LED Solution: Display Case Lights

Display Case Lights

Our display case lights are slim aluminum channels designed to disappear inside a glass cabinet while putting an even, glare-free wash on whatever's inside it. The range covers corner-mount profiles that aim light across shelves, round pendant-style channels that read as a finished tube of light, and miniature profiles for cases where there's barely a millimeter to spare. Pair any of them with a high-CRI LED strip and a low-voltage driver to keep the inside of the case looking sharp.

Display Case LED Lighting for Cabinets, Showcases, and Retail Displays

Corner LED Channels for Aiming Light Across Shelves

A flat profile across the top of a case throws light straight down, which leaves the front face of the displayed item lit and the back panel dark. Corner channels solve that. The Cabi12 sits at a 30 or 60 degree angle inside the top corner of the case, aiming the beam at the back panel and across the shelves so the whole interior reads evenly. The Sophia XL is the larger version, suited to taller cases or longer runs where the smaller profile would underdeliver. Both ship with frosted or opal diffusers as accessories, so you can tune how sharp or soft the light line reads from outside the glass.

Round and Pendant Channels for Jewelry and Showcase Displays

A round channel reads as a finished design element rather than a hidden lighting strip, which matters in jewelry cases, watch displays, and any showcase where the lighting is part of the viewing experience. The Pen12 is the dedicated display case profile in this range, a small-diameter aluminum tube that sits across the top of a glass cabinet and casts a clean line of light onto the contents. The Pen8 is a slimmer version for shallower cases. The Alu-Round and Alu-Round 38 are larger round profiles that double as suspended pendants over a showcase or above a retail counter, useful when the lighting needs to read as a feature rather than a hidden source.

Miniature Display Cabinet Lighting for Tight Spaces

Older display cabinets, watch cases, and curio cabinets often don't have the clearance for a standard 12mm profile. The Pen8 is the smallest channel in this range, sized to fit retrofits and tight spaces where a larger channel would either be visible from the outside or wouldn't fit at all. Sub-12mm LED strips drop straight into it, which means you can light a case that was built before LED tape existed without modifying the cabinet itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do these display case lights come with LED strips?

No. The channels on this page are aluminum profiles only. The LED strip, driver, and any dimmer or controller are listed as separate components so you can match the strip color temperature, brightness, and voltage to the case.

What's the best LED color temperature for a display case?

3000K warm white reads well with gold jewelry, wood, and warm-toned products. 4000K neutral white suits general retail and museum display. High CRI (90+) is more important than the exact temperature, since it controls how true the colors look behind the glass.

Can I install LED display case lighting in an existing cabinet?

Yes. The Cabi12 and Sophia XL corner channels mount inside the top corner of the case with adhesive or small screws. The Pen8 miniature profile fits cases that don't have clearance for a standard channel. The strip wires out through a small hole at the back or top of the cabinet, or wherever you can run the wiring to discreetly.

How do I avoid hotspots in the glass?

Use a frosted or opal diffuser cover and run the strip in a channel rather than exposed. Hotspots come from looking directly at individual LEDs through the glass; a diffuser turns them into a continuous line of light.

What's the difference between the Pen12 and Pen8?

The Pen12 fits LED strips up to 12mm wide and reads as a slightly more substantial round tube. The Pen8 is sized for narrower strips and tighter cases. Both produce a similar quality of light line; the choice is driven by the space available inside the cabinet.

Can the same channels work in refrigerated or humid display cases?

The standard aluminum profiles on this page are not waterproof rated. For cold cases, beverage coolers, or humid environments, ask about IP67 waterproof channels and resin-filled custom builds instead.
