Our custom-made Appalachians Wood handrail system is designed to house LED strip lights which allows you to create beautiful illuminated timber handrails. Handrails with downward floor lighting are an ideal enhancement for stairways and walkways, providing soft lighting on the ground.

By installing LED illuminated handrails, you can immediately improve the aesthetics, functionality and safety of stairways and walkways. Lighted handrails make an attractive architectural feature on any building. At the same time, the efficient LED lighting creates puddle lighting on stairs and paths which makes them easier to use in the dark. Illuminating these high-traffic areas with unobtrusive lighted handrails is also an effective way of improving safety, especially in public spaces.

This wooden handrail system with LED lighting underneath consists of a wooden rail profile 2-1/4" wide with a recess on the underside for mounting LED strip. This handrail system is supplied with an aluminum LED mounting profile for premium result.

• Please note that raw or natural profiles or channels are not anodized and need to be coated or painted, or they will oxidize over time in outdoor applications.
• LED profiles can easily be cut by hand or by machine.
