USB 5V to 12V Step-Up Voltage Converter for LED Lights
Product details
Voltage converter only ~ 5V power supply and all other components sold separately
Description
This USB power adapter plugs into a standard 5V USB-A supply and provides a 12V DC output for your LED lights.
This compact and convenient power supply is useful for powering a short run of 12V LED strip. For example, it can be used to drive up to 4ft of our 12V White Iris strip.
This USB power cable is super convenient for use with many electronic devices that use a DC 5.5mm barrel jack for power. We offer it as a solution for small LED lights, but it can also be used to power smart speakers, routers, USB lights, Bluetooth audio devices, power banks, and other devices that use a 12V power supply and require no more than 12W of power.
Note: To obtain the maximum output current, you will need to use a good quality USB adapter which can supply at least 2A of current.
Note: Some mobile power sources or "power banks" have an automatic power-off function that cuts off output at very low loads. This type of power source is impractical for installed LED lights because when the lights are off, then the power source will switch itself off too, preventing you from switching the LED lights on again until you have re-enabled the power source. We recommend using a standard AC wall USB power adapter to ensure reliable and consistent power delivery.
