The CVC4 is a high-power 4-channel constant voltage LED dimmer from ENTTEC, designed for precision and flexibility. It can control up to 20A across four 5A channels and offers dimming in 16-bit or 8-bit resolution. With ultra-smooth dimming, auto-addressing functionality, and simple mode selection, this comprehensive yet versatile LED dimmer enables flexible control of LED lighting systems.

Control is possible with DMX or PLink (from a Pixelator controller). These two systems can be combined, allowing you to create whatever network setup you need; see the installation guide for wiring diagrams and instructions. A major benefit of PLink is the long-distance capability: the maximum cable length between units is 300 meters. Units can be daisy-chained using the PLink ports.

Auto-addressing simplifies installation, as well as working intuitively for installers, even if completely unfamiliar with DMX: simply connect your CVC4s using the PLink protocol and they will all auto-address themselves. If you’re using DMX, simply connect it to a CVC4’s input and link out from that unit using PLink. For advanced users, RDM functionality is available for addressing and monitoring.

Configuration is straightforward with DIP switches for selecting 16-bit or 8-bit resolution and choosing between RGB or RGBW LED strips.

A user-serviceable 20A ATO blade fuse (easy and inexpensive to source) protects against short circuits. If your installation draws less than 20A you can downrate the fuse to an appropriate level to suit your installation.

The CVC4 dimmer also includes over temperature protection that automatically reduces output to 50% if a high operating temperature is reached, to prevent overheating. It will blink the LED indicator red to notify the user until the device has sufficiently cooled.

The CVC4 features a rugged, black ABS body with built-in surface-mount tabs. There are also built-in mounting points to attach an optional TS35 DIN rail clip (included) for fast and versatile installation.

And its solid-state, fanless design makes it virtually silent.
