Description

The Nicho Series waterproof LED light kit for tile edges and borders is designed for seamless installation in tiled surfaces such as showers, bathrooms and kitchens. This kit consists of an aluminum LED channel which can be installed flush with a tiled surface, along with a purpose-manufactured silicone RGB LED strip which is molded to neatly fit into the aluminum profile. The LED completely fills the aluminum profile and does not require a separate diffuser or cover, meaning that there is nowhere for water to become trapped. The kit is completed with two soft plastic end blanks which are used to fill spaces at the ends of the aluminum profile.

Special consideration has been invested in the design of the Nicho Series to provide a premium waterproof linear lighting solution for tiled corners. The RGB LED strip allows you to change the lighting color to suit any mood, and the pre-wired electrical connection cable exits from the back of the strip allowing for a seamless and neat installation. The RGB LED strip can be connected to the included PicoDrive 96W driver and controlled via the wLightBox or CBU-PWM4 controller to create remote-controlled color-changing bathroom accent lights.

The Nicho Series shower and bathroom light kits allow you to create stunning colorful lighting effects that are sure to impress, making it the ideal choice for easy-to-install waterproof shower and bathroom accent lighting. This RGB waterproof light strip can also be installed into any other tiled surfaces to create attractive linear light accents.

The Nicho Series waterproof corner tile light kits are offered in a selection of standard lengths to suit most applications. It's available in three options: LED kit only, LED kit + PicoDrive 96W + wLightBox, or LED kit + PicoDrive 96W + CBU-PWM4. 

Please note that Nicho RGB cannot be cut. For custom lengths, please contact our sales team to arrange customization.

Installation instructions

For safety and reliability, Wired4Signs USA recommends that you use trained and qualified professionals to install your LED lighting.

These are the basic steps for installing the Nicho Series RGB LED light kit:

1. Select and purchase the kit length to match your installation, or a longer length if the exact length is not available.
2. Test your LED strip with your chosen the power supply before beginning the installation.
3. If necessary, cut the aluminum channel to the length of your chosen installation with a saw. Read our instructions for cutting LED profiles to learn how.
4. If necessary, cut the silicone LED strip with a utility knife on the first marked increment shorter than the length of the channel. Make sure to cut the opposite end of the strip to where the wires are attached. Seal the cut end with the provided sealant.
5. Fit the LED strip into the aluminum channel.
6. If necessary, trim the end blanks with a utility knife so that they fill the remaining space in the channel.
7. Remove the LED strip and end blanks from the channel.
8. Install the aluminum channel along with your tiles. We suggest that you secure the aluminum channel in position on the substrate with screws before installing the tiles.
9. Allow the tiling installation to cure before proceeding with the remainder of the installation.
10. Install the LED strip and end blanks, passing the wiring through the hole in end blank. For very wet areas such as shower cubicles, we recommend applying a silicone sealer in the area of the wiring hole to ensure water cannot pass through.
11. Complete the electrical wiring from the reverse side of the wall.
12. Switch on and enjoy your beautiful LED tile lights.

Important notes

• ORGANIC SILICON is used for Neon Flex which is not resistant to UV rays. Direct exposure to solar radiation may cause discoloration. Color Neon can be specially ordered in white silicon which will not fade in direct sunlight.
