Description

The Nicho Series waterproof corner LED light kit for tiles is designed for seamless installation in tiled surfaces such as showers, bathrooms and kitchens. This kit consists of an aluminum LED channel which can be installed on the outside corner of two tiled surfaces, along with a purpose-manufactured silicone LED strip which is molded to neatly fit into the aluminum profile. The LED completely fills the aluminum profile and does not require a separate diffuser or cover, meaning that there is nowhere for water to become trapped. The kit is completed with two soft plastic end blanks which can be used to fill spaces at the ends of the aluminum profile if you need to modify the length of the tile light kit components.

Special consideration has been invested in the design of the Nicho Series to provide a premium waterproof linear lighting solution for tiled corners. The warm white color temperature of 3000K provides an inviting, cozy glow and the pre-wired electrical connection cable exits from the back of the strip allowing for a seamless and neat installation. The LED strip can be connected directly to a suitable power supply, or it can be connected to an LED dimmer to create dimmable bathroom accent lights.

This dimmable waterproof light strip can also be installed into any other tiled surface corners to create attractive linear light accents.

The Nicho Series waterproof corner tile light kits are offered in a selection of standard lengths, but the aluminum profile can be cut to any desired length by following these instructions and the silicone LED strip can be cut every 50mm (approximately 2") on the marked intervals. Use the supplied 25mm (1") blanks to fill in any excess space at the ends of the aluminum profile.

Installation instructions

For safety and reliability, Wired4Signs USA recommends that you use trained and qualified professionals to install your LED lighting.

These are the basic steps for installing the Nicho Series LED light kit:

1. Select and purchase the kit length to match your installation, or a longer length if the exact length is not available.
2. Test your LED strip with your chosen the power supply before beginning the installation.
3. If necessary, cut the aluminum channel to the length of your chosen installation with a saw. Read our instructions for cutting LED profiles to learn how.
4. If necessary, cut the silicon LED strip with a utility knife on the first marked increment shorter than the length of the channel. Make sure to cut the opposite end of the strip to where the wires are attached.
5. Place the LED strip against the aluminum channel and mark the channel where the wiring will to pass through. Move the LED strip away and drill through the channel on the mark with a 1/4" drill.
6. Fit the LED strip into the aluminum channel.
7. If necessary, trim the end blanks with a utility knife so that they fill the remaining space in the channel.
8. Remove the LED strip and end blanks from the channel.
9. Install the aluminum channel along with your tiles. We suggest that you secure the aluminum channel in position on the substrate with screws before installing the tiles.
10. Allow the tiling installation to cure before proceeding with the remainder of the installation.
11. Install the LED strip and end blanks, passing the wiring through the hole in the profile. For very wet areas such as shower cubicles, we recommend applying a silicone sealer in the area of the wiring hole to ensure water cannot pass through.
12. Complete the electrical wiring from the reverse side of the wall.
13. Switch on and enjoy your beautiful LED tile lights.

• ORGANIC SILICON is used for Neon Flex which is not resistant to UV rays. Direct exposure to solar radiation may cause discoloration. Color Neon can be specially ordered in white silicon which will not fade in direct sunlight.
