How to install a surface-mounted lighting fixture?

You can find step-by-step guides on most of our LED track description pages, but these are the basic steps for setting up your installation:

1. Drill an appropriately-sized hole onto a flat surface.
2. Using the mounting clips, attach the mounting clips to the surface.
3. Mount LED light channels onto the mounting clips.
4. Remove the protective layer of the adhesive from the mountable LED light strip, and place the strip inside the aluminum channel.
5. Place the easy-on diffuser on the mounting channel. Then, gently press down on different sections of the cover without bending it or breaking the cover.

Can I install surface-mounted LED profiles outdoors?

Yes, we have a great variety of outdoor-rated mounting channels and the best LED strip diffusers on the market. Make sure you also use silicone sealant for extra protection.

Are the diffusers and other accessories sold separately?

Yes, we sell the power supply, LED strips, end caps, diffusers, and mounting clips separately to make them easier for very custom installs.

Do I need deep or shallow mounting channels for my LED strips?

Deep mounting channels allow a better light distribution on the channel, as the LED chips are farther away from the diffuser, but this would also reduce the LED strip brightness. Shallow mounting profiles tend to be smaller, but since the distance from the LED chips to the diffuser is shorter, there can be LED hotspots on the lines of light.

You can easily install the ARC12 led strip housing, a bendable led tape channel, on curved surfaces.
